Meet the Committee
MCBC is entirely student-run, and each year we elect captains and officers from the club itself to manage it and its affairs. We are the committee for this year (2017-18) - please feel free to contact us about anything you might need!

Rowing Experience: 5 years at school, then two years at Magdalen in M1
Why did you take up rowing? I can't throw a ball to save my life, and had really liked rowing on the rowing machines, so decided to give it a go at school. It all stemmed from there!

Rowing Experience: Rowed for a couple of years at school, and I also did some coxing on the side. 1 year at MCBC, rowing in M2 and coxing M1 at Eights.
Why did you take up rowing? Since I rowed at school, I always knew I'd want to carry on at university and I already knew about MCBC before coming and it looked like a lot of fun. I decided to turn my hand to coxing mainly because I'm not very large, and I like being the leader

Fondest Oxford rowing experience: Rowing over in M1 on Thursday of Summer VIIIs 2017

Rowing Experience: One year at MCBC; none prior to Oxford
Why did you take up rowing? It's fun! It started as something new as a form of exercise, but as I progressed I fell in love with being out on the water and the thinking space, as well as the team bond, particularly during race season!
